When visiting the Bed and Breakfast, you will find that you are within walking distance of the town's many historical attractions. Marguerite's Bed and Breakfast at 309 West Lincoln Avenue was built by the John Burt family in 1907. Family members resided in the house for many years. Elizabeth Burt, a long time abstractor in Lincoln County, was the last resident. This 2-story house was restored by Marguerite in 2003 as a two bedroom Bed and Breakfast. Marguerite's famous French Canadian cuisine dinners can be enjoyed by advanced reservation. In restoring the house Marguerite kept the original architecture style and craftsmanship. The home and furnishings reflect a bygone era, including hardwood floors, pocket doors, bay window, stained glass windows, and kitchen appliances. A wrap-around porch is sure to inspire the small town feeling to guests.

Lincoln county was founded in 1870 and named for President Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln County borders I-70 on the South and intersects state highways 14 and 18 in North Central Kansas. This area is best invisioned by fields of wheat and lush native grasses. Lincoln county produces crops such as wheat, corn, alfalfa hay, oats, and sunflowers.
