The restoration of this stately structure, Circa 1906, has been a labor of love. Originally constructed to accommodate weary travelers and railroad executives. Now it has been converted to accommodate the weary Body and Soul. The completed work preserves the original charm and ambiance of the hotel and its sixteen cozy rooms, yet still being able to provide "State of the Art" Day Spa services and Fine Dining. The remodeling of the hotel saved the Beautiful, spacious lobby as well as the large open stairway that leads you to the guest rooms that are located on the second floor. Each room is decorated with a splash of Historic charm and boasts a private bath.

With the addition of the Day Spa the facility allows for Couples, Groups or individuals to be able to "Get Away" and "Indulge" themselves with Accommodations, Spa services, Fine Dining, and to Awaken to the aroma of hot coffee and enjoy a Continental breakfast of fruits, juices, breads and pastries, in our spacious Dining Room. (Fine dining and Special meals are by reservation only)

The Hotel was originally constructed for the large railroad business that was prominent in Fort Scott at that time. The Courtland Hotel & Day Spa has retained its historic Charm even with the addition of the new Day Spa facilities that have been added on the lower level of the Hotel.
